| 2 tbsp olive oil | Sauté garlic, onion & bell pepper 3–4 min | ||

| 450 g ground beef | Add beef & seasonings, cook 7–10 min until browned | ||

| 3 tbsp tomato paste | Stir in tomato paste, water & sugar, simmer 3–4 min | ||

| 60 g basil pesto (store-bought) | Reduce heat to low, stir in pesto, simmer 1–2 min | ||
| freshly grated parmesan & chopped fresh parsley (for garnish) | |||
