Steel cut oats toasted in butter, simmered with milk and spices, then portioned into freezer cubes for grab-and-reheat breakfasts.

| 2 tablespoons coconut oil or unsalted butter | Toast oats in oil, 1–2 min | Simmer with water, milk & spices, 25 min | Stir in optional mix-ins if using | Rest covered, 5 min | Portion into trays, add toppings if desired | Cool slightly, freeze overnight | Bake frozen cube 350°F / 175°C, 20-25 min |
