A one-pot Indian comfort dish of oats and moong lentils cooked with vegetables, spices and ghee in a pressure cooker.
| prepRinse moong dal in water a few times | ||||||||||
| prepChop onions, ginger, green chilies, tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, and coriander leaves | ||||||||||
| 22 ml ghee (or neutral oil) | Heat ghee, crackle tej patta & cumin | Sauté onions until translucent | Add ginger & chilies, sauté briefly | Add tomatoes, sauté until soft | Add carrots, potatoes & peas, sauté 1 min | Stir in moong dal & oats | Add turmeric & red chilli powder, mix well | Add water & salt, mix & taste | Pressure cook 7–8 min on medium heat | Stir in coriander, serve hot |
