| 3 slices of bread | Soak bread in milk | Squeeze bread into beef mixture, spread in dish | Bake 350°F / 175°C, 45 min until golden | |||

| 2 tablespoons / 30 ml olive oil | Heat oil, cook onions until soft | Add curry, herbs, cumin, turmeric & garlic, cook 1–2 min | Add beef, cook until browned | Stir in chutney, jam, lemon, tomato paste & seasoning | ||

| 1/2 cup / 120 ml milk (for custard) | Beat eggs with milk, season, pour over meat, add bay leaves | |||||
