Sri Lankan Dhal Curry
Serves 4
| prepWash red lentils thoroughly under cold water until clean | |||
| 1 cup / 200 g red lentils | Cook lentils with aromatics | Add coconut milk, simmer 5 min | Mix tempered mixture into dhal, serve with rice |
| 2.5 cups / 600 ml water | |||

| 1/2 pandan leaves, cut into three | |||
| 1/4 tsp turmeric powder | |||

| 1/2 cup / 120 ml coconut milk | |||

| 1 tbsp oil (coconut, canola, vegetable, or olive) | Temper oil, onion, garlic 3–4 min | ||
